Steve has more than 14 years experience in software product strategy and management as well as a strong background in selling to IT professionals. Previously, Steve was a senior product manager and has held positions in services and support management. He has spoken at numerous industry events on systems management topics. 

It all kicks off on Tuesday morning where the focus will be on how you can be "More Productive". You’ll want to be there early to get more insight from Greg Butterfield, Dwain Kinghorn and industry insiders from Intel and Dell.

 

Day two will keep the "more theme" flowing as we address the topic of "More Collaboration." You’ll learn about how you can gain more IT protection, more control and the benefits of more integration between Altiris products and Symantec solutions. You’ll also hear about more green IT initiatives from HP.

Enrique Salem, Chief Operating Officer, Symantec Corporation

Enrique Salem is the chief operating officer at Symantec where he is responsible for global product development, sales, marketing and IT. Most recently, Enrique was group president, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, and managed global sales and partner programs, marketing, communications and branding. Previously, he was group president, Consumer Business Unit, with responsibility for the overall consumer business worldwide. Enrique received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Dartmouth College. He was named 2007 Corporate Executive of the Year by Hispanic-Net as well as 2004 Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young.

 

 

Greg Butterfield, Group President, Symantec Corporation

Greg Butterfield is responsible for sales, engineering, marketing, alliances, and business development for Symantec’s endpoint management group. Greg joined Symantec through the company’s acquisition of Altiris in April 2007. At Altiris, he most recently served as chairman of the board, president and CEO. Greg guided Altiris to a successful track record posting consecutive quarters of revenue and profitable growth. Prior to joining Altiris, Greg held numerous executive management positions in the software industry. Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance. In 2002, Greg was named the Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.

 

Brad Kingsbury, Senior Vice President, Symantec's Endpoint Security and Management Group, Symantec Corporation

Brad Kingsbury is senior vice president of Symantec's Endpoint Security and Management group. Previously, he was vice president of the Endpoint Security and Messaging Security businesses. Prior to joining Symantec, Brad was vice president of engineering at Brightmail. Other senior positions include vice president of engineering and chief technical officer at McAfee.com Corporation and CyberMedia Corporation. Brad was Peter Norton's first programmer in 1985 and was the sole designer and developer of Norton Utilities from 1985 until 1989. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from California State University, Northridge.

 

Dwain Kinghorn, Vice President, Development, Symantec Corporation

Dwain Kinghorn leads the technology development, engineering and innovation efforts for Symantec’s endpoint management offerings. Dwain most recently served as Altiris CTO and founded Computing Edge in 1994 before merging the company with Altiris in October 2000. Prior to the merger, Computing Edge was recognized as the leading provider of Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) add-on tools. Before he founded Computing Edge, Dwain was one of the original three members of the SMS development team at Microsoft. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering.

 

Gregory Bryant, Vice President, Business Client Group, General Manager, Digital Office Platform Division, Intel Corporation

Gregory Bryant is vice president and general manager of the Digital Office Platform Division for Intel's Business Client Group. He is responsible for the development and advancement of Intel's business client platforms globally, including Intel vPro technology. Gregory developed his IT expertise during a decade with Intel's Information Technology Group. Progressing through engineering and operations roles, he culminated his tenure in IT as the director of office computing. He has a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kansas and a master of science degree in systems management from Golden Gate University.

 

Ed Reynolds, Senior Manager, OpenManage Product Planning, Dell

Ed Reynolds leads the product and strategic marketing efforts for Dell’s OpenManage Product Planning Group. Ed has 28 years of experience in the IT industry, including time as VP of Marketing at Layer N Networks, an Austin-based startup in network security. He spent seven years at Compaq where he held product management leadership positions. He also worked in product management and field marketing roles for Motorola and as an IT professional in banking and brokerage. He holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Western Illinois and an MBA in economics/finance from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

 

Gabe Lesky, Western Region VP, PSG U.S. Volume Sales, Hewlett-Packard

Gabe Lesky has been in the high technology business since 1986. At HP, Gabe has been recognized for sales success at every level. He has co-chaired the PSG Field Sales Advisory Council for three years. Prior to his current role, Gabe was responsible for the sales of client PC solutions and services across HP’s corporate and enterprise customer base in the Pacific West District. He was named to the original group of client specialists at Compaq where he helped shape sales roles and responsibilities. Gabe has a bachelor's degree in psychology from California State University at Northridge.

 

Michael Dortch, Senior Analyst, Aberdeen Group

Michael Dortch has been an industry analyst, consultant, "information entrepreneur" and writer for 30 years. Michael is a Senior Analyst at Aberdeen Group, focusing on enabling and emerging technologies and information management. Michael joined Aberdeen Group after nearly 10 years at Robert Frances Group (RFG) in various capacities, most recently as Director of IT Infrastructure Management Strategies and Executive Editor. His clients have included AT&T, IBM, Tarantella, Sun Microsystems, and large and small corporate users of IT.

 

Bryan Lollich, Operations Manager for Information and Infrastructure Services, SI International

Bryan Lollich is operations manager for Information and Infrastructure Services at SI International. His team is responsible for process automation and IT lifecycle management. Bryan has been with SI International for nine years, during which time he has received numerous awards for demonstrating consistent excellence across a variety of projects. He gained experience in network engineering and development during his early years at SI International. Bryan holds a bachelor's degree in business management.

After an information-packed week, you'll look forward to a closing keynote that offers you more jokes, more laughs and more of the unique humor of comedian, Demetri Martin, as well as more amazing prize drawings.

 

Demetri Martin lives in New York City. He writes and performs comedy for fun and for money. When he was in high school, Demetri focused on skateboarding and math. Now he focuses mostly on comedy and making things. He has performed on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "Late Night with Conan O’Brien" and is the official Trendspotter on "The Daily Show with John Stewart." Sometimes Demetri performs one-man shows at comedy festivals. Sometimes Demetri writes movies. Last year he released the CD, "These Are Jokes."
