Arriving in Malta
Taxi Service
Taxi service is available 24 hours a day from Malta International Airport to any destination in Malta. Taxicabs are located outside of the door exits (check-in hall) of Malta airport. We recommend that you buy a ticket for the destination from the Tourist Office Counter (Monday–Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00) in the arrivals lounge at the door exit of the airport and present it to the taxi driver. The cost of a one-way taxi ride to a hotel in St. Julian´s is approximately Lm 8 (€ 19). Please note that credit card payments are not accepted. Taxi services from the Malta International Airport to all localities in Malta are based on a fixed tariff. We recommend that you inquire and agree on a fare before you enter a taxi. Public Transportation
Regular public transport service by bus is available from Malta International Airport to the main bus terminus in Valletta daily from 05:30 until 20:00. The bus stage is situated right outside the check-in hall. Bus line 8 leaves every 20–30 minutes to Valetta (approx. 15 min) and from there bus line 66 to St. Julian’s).
